1. CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS – GENERAL

1.1. TITLE
Dragon Kart Club Ltd – 2008 Club Championship

1.2. JURISDICTION
The Dragon Kart Club Championship is organised and administered by Dragon Kart Club Ltd in accordance with the General Regulations of the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association (Incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the F.I.A.), the MSA specific regulations for karting, where applicable and these Championship Regulations.

1.4 COMPETITOR ELIGIBILITY
1.4.1 Entrants must be fully paid up valid membership card holding members of Dragon Kart Club Ltd and be in possession of a valid 2008 MSA Entrant’s Licence.
1.4.2 Drivers and Entrant/Drivers must be fully paid up valid membership card holding members of Dragon Kart Club Ltd, be registered for the Championship and be in possession of a valid Competition Kart National B or higher grade licence.
1.4.3 All necessary documentation must be presented for checking at all rounds when signing on including all Novices.

1.5. REGISTRATION
1.5.1 All MSA licensed racing members of Dragon Kart Club are automatically registered for the Club Championship.

1.6. CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS
1.6.1 The 2008 Dragon Kart Club Championship dates are as follows: February 3rd, March 2nd, April 6th, May 4th, June 1st, July 6th (Dragon Masters), August 3rd, September 7th, October 5th, November 2nd
1.6.2 All Dragon Kart Club Championship Rounds will be held at Glan Y Gors Park Kart Circuit.

1.7. SCORING
1.7.1 Points awarded to the fastest Qualifier, Final Grid Positions and classified finishers in the final are as follows:
Club Championship Points
Qualifying – The fastest Qualifier 1 point.
Final Grid Positions – 1st 30pts, 2nd 28pts, 3rd 26pts, 4th 25pts, reducing by 1 point until 2pts and after that remaining grid position will be awarded 2pts.
Final Positions - 1st 30pts, 2nd 28pts, 3rd 26pts, 4th 25pts, reducing by 1 point until 2pts and after that, every remaining final position will be awarded 2pts.

Drivers in a mixed class grid will receive the points for their class. An exclusion from Qualifying, Heat or Final will invoke a score of 0 points for that race. A driver excluded from a heat, a final or from the event for any reason will not be able to drop that round and it will count as one of the 8 scoring rounds.

1.7.2 For all classes, the final Championship positions will be determined from the totals of 8 best scores from 10 rounds plus any qualifying points gained from all rounds. In the event of a tie, the driver who has the highest number of wins in the race results will be deemed to have the highest championship position in the event of tied scores. Should the number of win be the same, then the highest number of second places, third places, fourth places etc, will be the determining factor. If any round is cancelled, the rounds included in the total championship scoring will decrease accordingly. 1.7.3 Dragon Kart Club Championship Points Appeal shall be as per 2008 MSA Yearbook Section C(d)65. 1.7.4 Individual rounds will be scored on the following basis: Heats: Grid positions for the Final will be calculated from the competitors’ performance in the heats on the following basis:

1st 0 points
2nd 2 points
3rd 3 points
4th 4 points
DNF Grid of the day + 1
Exclusion Max grid + 1 (i.e.31)

To resolve a tie in the heat points, the driver with the fastest qualifying time, will take the highest grid position. Finals: Points for the finals will be awarded in accordance with the Championship points as detailed above, (with exclusions invoking a score of 0 points) and will be the basis for the individual round awards.

1.8. AWARDS
1.8.1 The winner of each Championship will receive a Perpetual Dragon Kart Club Championship Trophy, which may be kept until the last round of the 2008 series. The trophy must be kept in good condition and be returned upon request. An overall championship will only be held if there are six or more competitors regularly competing in the class. At the Club’s discretion awards may be given for second and third places overall, if there are sufficient entries.

2. SPORTING REGULATIONS – JUDICIAL PROCEDURES

2.1 Rounds: In accordance with Section C(d) of the 2008 MSA Yearbook.

2.2 Championship: In accordance with Section C(d)39 of the 2008 MSA Yearbook with the exception of C(d)39 where section a and b only apply.

3. TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

3.1 The Dragon Kart Club Championship is for competitors participating in karts which conform to the MSA Technical and Safety Regulations as detailed in the 2008 MSA Yearbook.

3.2 Eligible classes are: Comer Cadet, WTP, Mini Max, Junior Max, Junior TKM, Junior Blue, KF3, Senior Max, Senior Max 177, Senior TKM Extreme, and Senior Formula Blue.

3.3 Minimum of 4 drivers per class.

3.4 Safety Requirements as per the MSA Yearbook.
